THREE ALBACORE CAUGHT DURING BAJA FISHING
RUN TO THE ENSENADA INNER BANKS

July 16, 2005, Steve Ross, Bad Dog, Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico:

Bad Dog deported Ensenada's Marina Coral at 03:00 with Steve Ross, Gail Ross and Marinero Alex "Jando" Ruiz and headed for fishing at the "Inner Banks" off of Ensenada. The first jig strike came at 07:30 a.m. We caught 3 albacore and Gail caught the largest albie weighing in at 32 pounds. The producing jig each time was a Burns' "High Speed" black/purple jet head with a small Moldcraft bird on a line stop 3 feet in front of the jet head. The water temperature in the fishing area was 63.5 degrees and blue. At 12:30 p.m. the Burns combo produced a 17 pound yellowfin tuna. It was a down day for the inner banks with more western and northern areas holding more albacore.
