SUSARREY BOAT FINDS ALBACORE INSIDE THE ENSENADA 238 FISHING SPO

July 2, 2005, Sammy Susarrey, Lily Fleet, Tamara, Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico:

Today, on Saturday, the Tamara and Amigo found albacore close to Ensenada at the 238 bank, and also five miles inside of it. We caught four fish per rod. We saw a lot of bait fish and breaking fish. We got more bait today, and the fish bit from 12 noon to 3 p.m. on small feathers. Today we caught fish at GPS numbers 31.34097 117.16019. We are going fishing tonight again.

Yesterday, on Friday, the Tamara fished off Ensenada and got albacore limits at the lower 500 spot. Five miles south from the bank, we got albacore of 25 to 30 pounds and big yellowtail to 25 pounds. The water temperature was 64.5 degrees, and the color was blue.

On Wednesday, private fishing boats out of Ensenada's Marina Coral fished the 295 and double 220 spots and caught 20 pounders, in 63-degree water, 18 miles outside the bank. Other Ensenada fishing boats also reported albacore.
