VERY SLOW FISHING DURING THREE DAYS AT EAST CAPE

May 12-15, 2005, Chet Needelman, East Cape fishing, Mexico:

Fish caught were marlin, wahoo, and some dorado. Inshore there were lots of pargo and triggerfish. East Cape fishing should be considered very slow. Nice trip, but no fish for our group.

I fished at Punta Colorada three days, as the fleet sent out approximately 15 boats.

On May 13, 2005, one boat had four good fish, one boat had three fish, and two boats had one fish. The sea was flat and calm, and the weather was 90 degrees. Fishing was very slow. Our boat was the Pargo with Capt. Francisco.

On May 14, 2005, the fleet went far south past Arenas and three or four boats caught 5-7 good fish, and three or four boats caught 2-3 fish. Fishing was still slow. Our boat was the Amante, with Martin and Tony.

On May 15, 2005, fishing was slow like on May 13, 2005. Inshore, there were no roosterfish during the three days. Our boat was the Amante again.
