EAST CAPE FISHING BOAT SEÑOR DON HAS A FOUR-MARLIN DAY AT LA RIBERA

I fished earlier this week, April 18th, on my boat "Senor Don", out of Buena Vista, East Cape, Mexico. We caught 4 marlin and released 3. One died after it was foul hooked and got towed backwards for 30 minutes. The marlin were thick 3-6 miles out from La Ribera. East Cape fishing weather was perfect and we had flat seas.

Fishing were Lori Walls, Randy Walls and deckhand Carlos. This was Lori and Randy's first trip down Baja and also their first marlin.

We also caught a nice 22-pound dorado, female, off Punta Pescadero. The water temperature off La Ribera was 75.4 degrees. The marlin were really thick at East Cape. We must have seen at least 16 a day. We caught two while fishing on the troll and 2 while soaking bait from a still boat.
