GOOD SCHOOLS OF TUNA FOUND BY EAST CAPE
CHARTER FISHING BOATS ABOUT 26 TO 40 MILES OUT

March 26, 2005, Gary Leeper, East Cape, Mexico Fishing Report:

East Capers were struggling to find fish early in the week, but things improved Thursday offshore with East Cape charter fishing cruisers finding large schools of 30 pound Tuna 26-40 miles offshore, with marlin and dodo mixed in with the porpoise. Some East Cape tin boaters found bonito while fishing inshore, and one report of yellowtail off Colorado was heard Friday. It hasn't been an easy week for small fishing boats, in the East Cape vacation area, as most days have had wind, especially from 8 miles out. Water temperatures are trying to rise and averaging 71 degrees. Most of the East Cape charter sportfishing cruiser fleet is in the water now, and the Semana Santa week has been busy.
