SALVADOR'S SPORTFISHING WEEKLY RESULTS

March 11, 2005, Jim Dillon, Salvador's Sportfishing, Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur, Mexico:

March 11, 2005: The fishing at Cabo San Lucas is getting better. Perry Roland and his three sons from Anaheim, CA had an excellent day on the EL BUDSTER I. They caught and released two STRIPED MARLIN ( 130 & 140 lbs.) Both marlin are caught on live Pacific Mackerel and took about 30 and 45 minutes to get to the boat. The marlin were caught while fishing about 12-13 miles out of Cabo San Lucas, in 71-72 degree water.

March 10, 2005: Fishing at Cabo San Lucas on the EL BUDSTER I, Mark Crabtree from Sunnyside, NY caught and released a 130 lb. STRIPED MARLIN. The Marlin was caught on a live Pacific Mackerel. The fighting time to get the fish to the boat was 45 minutes. The marlin was caught 15 miles out from Cabo San Lucas. The water temperature was 72-73 degrees.

March 9, 2005: Fishing out of Cabo San Lucas on the EL BUDSTER I, Chris Melvin caught a 30 lb. DORADO and a 20 lb. YELLOWFIN TUNA. Both fish were caught 16-18 miles out from Cabo San Lucas. The water temperature was 71-72 degrees.

March 8, 2005: John & Patty Farmer fishing at Cabo San Lucas on the EL BUDSTER I caught some very nice fish. They caught two YELLOWFIN TUNA (25-30 lbs.) and a 30 lb. DORADO. All fish were caught while fishing about 16 miles straight out from the Cabo San Lucas Lighthouse. The water temperature was 70-71 degrees. The fishing has been very slow the last four days. This is due for the most part to the 2-3 degree drop in the water temperature. As the water gets warmer, the fishing will get better.
