FISHING STEADY AT PUERTO MORELOS

June 25, 2006, Larry Edwards, Cortez Yacht Charters, Puerto Morelos, Quintana Roo, Mexico:

Cancun area anglers fared pretty well this week, fishing with El Cid Caribe fleet at Puerto Morelos under partially cloudy skies and in tropical, humid conditions that ranged from 78 degree nights to 93 degree daytime highs.

While the Cancun sportfishing area is still slow on anglers, the charter fleet reported in for 7 fishing days that reflected 2 sailfish released, 5 dorado, 6 barracuda and limits of small snappers.

Cancun fishing area weather was warm and muggy, partly cloudy, 93 daytime high's. Water temperatures were stable at 84-85 degrees throughout the fishing area. Seas were fairly calm with easterly breezes. Ballyhoo was the bait used for all species.
