BAHIA DE LOS ANGELES FISHING HAMPERED BY 5 DAYS OF WIND

Sept. 24, 2004, Abraham Vazquez, Camp Gecko, Bahia de los Angeles, Baja California, Mexico Fishing:

Fishing is slow now at Bahia de los Angeles, mostly because the fact that we have had wind for the past 5 days, today is the first nice day so we hope to hear some good reports. Temperatures have gone down a bit. They are now in the mid 80's in the day and the upper 60"s at night, absolutely perfect weather. The humidity is 55%. Today is the first day of calm weather after the storm. Had a nice earthquake today, 5.9 at San Lorenzo Island so it gave us a good jolt here but no damage. Bahia de los Angeles fishing is for yellowtail and cabrilla, not much of anything else except some skipjack. There are whale sharks in the bay now, and there is plenty of baitfish. The road paving is less than 1 mile to finish, desert is very green.

Bahia de los Angeles tourism is a little bit slow, but that is the way it is this time of the year, I expect it to pick up after tomorrow and it should be very good for the next 3 or 4 weeks and then it goes back in to remission, for the November month, in general it has been a good year for Bahia de los Angeles, many visitors this summer all the way to labor day week end.
