MEXICO FISHING REPORTS ARE REQUESTED: Your fishing reports in Spanish or English are requested for all Mexico vacation locations. All reports are fully credited to the sender. If you are a professional sportfishing provider, your reports are also credited to your company. The deadline for the next week's edition of the news is usually NOON THURSDAY. For long reports, photos, or reports sent in Spanish, send by NOON WEDNESDAY.

FISHING REPORTER LIST: Do you fish regularly in Mexico? If so, we'd like to add you to our weekly email "Reminder" list. Each Friday, you'll receive a note reminding you to send your reports and photos in. If you'd like to join our reporter list, please send us an email.

REPORT HANDLING: The weekly online "Mexico Fishing News" report is published on Mondays and is linked at the top of our home page. All submissions are accepted on the premise that permission is granted for their use in this website. Reports may be edited for clarity, appropriateness, or length. Reports and photos may or may not be used, depending on suitability, duplication, timeliness, and space available.

REPORT AND PHOTO SELECTION: Many more reports and photos are received than can be published. Selection of reports and photos is based on: 1. Newsworthiness and specific fishing information. 2. Overall picture quality. 3. Completeness of information provided. 4. Timeliness.

REPORT GUIDELINES:
  • Send specific fishing trip information.
  • Ideal report length is about 300-600 words.
  • Include your full name, city or town of residence, and contact information.
  • For charter fishing fleets:
       • How many boats fished during the week?
       • Boat and captain names.
       • How many and what sizes of each fish species were caught in total?
       • Fishing locations.
       • Water temperatures, color, and sea conditions.
       • Seasonal information.
       • Noteworthy catches or other comments and observations.
  • For private parties:
       • What dates did you fish?
       • Who did your fish with? Company, captain, boat name, or your own boat?
       • What exact areas did you fish?
       • How did you fish?
       • What did you catch? Total sizes, species and numbers of each type of fish?
       • Water temperatures and sea conditions?
       • What did you see going on in the water?
       • What did you see others catching?
       • How would you rate your overall fishing or touring experience?
       • General observations, details, roads and access information.
       • Special details about your trip, yourself, or your group.

PHOTO GUIDELINES:
  • Always include full caption information for each photo, including as a minimum:
       • Full names of people shown, left to right.
       • Date and location.
       • Boat and crew names.
       • File name of photo or some other indication of which photo the caption belongs to.
  • Send photos in JPEG (.jpg) digital format as email attachments.
  • Send photos raw, just as they come from the camera. We will adjust photos for best reproduction.
  • Send at least 600 x 1000 pixels of resolution, for proper reproduction.

PRIVACY POLICY: Mexfish.com maintains no personal or financial information about visitors or email correspondents, with the following exceptions: 1. Your email address, if you have expressly asked to join our weekly "reminder" email list (see above). 2. Temporary retention of information necessary for the functioning of our secure shopping cart. 3. Email addresses or other contact information necessary for direct correspondence with individuals and businesses that have contacted us. 4. Business contact information already published in the public media or otherwise readily available is forwarded to requesting prospective clients of those business as a professional courtesy. 5.
